There's a nifty Office 365 feature that some may find useful - especially in environments where audio or display notification for email might not be sufficient to alert you to the arrival of a new message.
You can configure Outlook to send you a text message when an email arrives, and here's how you set it up:
Navigate to Office 365 Outlook options by clicking the Settings gear and choosing Options:
Now click on General and choose Text Messaging:
Click on Set up text messaging:
The wizard will then walk you through selecting your wireless provider:
Entering your phone number:
and, finally, entering a code that is sent to your phone as a confirmation:
You can also set up text alerts for calendar entries and delete your text settings from the same General > Text messaging options screen.
